Faraday 8702

The Faraday 8702 is an addressable contact device interface module designed to integrate dry contacts (normally open or closed) into the addressable device circuitry of a fire alarm system. It only monitors and reports the status of the contact input—unlike the 8704, which includes an addressable Form C relay.

Features and operation include:

Multicolor LED indicator on the front plate, which signals:

Red for alarm,

Yellow for trouble,

Green for normal operation.

It must be mounted in a double-ended or 4-inch switch box, with proper grounding and an end-of-line (EOL) resistance of 470 Ω, ¼ W, positioned at the last contact of the circuit (for normally open contacts).
